FROm HeRE TO THERe | Reader Reviews

“Your book is motivational, inspiring, and eye opening. I’m relishing and squeezing out all the gold nuggets and great lessons, and your book is going to get a record high review on my book scale. The only other motivational / self-help book that has gotten as high as yours is: ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People.’ Great job.”

“When I first picked up your book, I knew that it was going to be something that I needed to hear, so after reading through the preface and doing some thoughtful praying, I decided to set it down until I was in a clear headspace to read it carefully and thoughtfully. With that being said, I picked it up last week to continue reading and finished today! I genuinely loved your book and what you had to say. As an educator, (I teach 3rd Grade) there were some really great reminders for me about all of the “whys” behind why I do what I do, and I’m so thankful for that. I have a great mentor who works with me, but who has also been in my life since I was 10, so I have a greater appreciation for her and her wisdom. I also had thoughts about how my students teach me new things daily, and how grateful I am for an 8 year olds perspective on life because as you stated, “the process of learning never ends, even for teachers” (p. 91). I also had some great reflection while reading with leading a life worth living, and taking every circumstance or failure as a true blessing in order to learn something so special and valuable on this journey we call life! Thirdly, I’ll state that as a Christian myself, I truly appreciate your glory to God throughout your book. I was able to hear him speak through you. That’s so cool! Referencing back to page 69, I’ll share that I adore Mac and cheese, that’s my fave food! Therefore I could possibly eat that for the rest of my life and be ok. Ha! Anyway, I essentially had a mini book club with myself while reading with lots of highlights and notes, and I’m so excited to share that with you! You offered some great insight on life, and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to read your book. I’ll leave you with a quote that relates to the theme of comfort... my high school volleyball coach used to frequently say “get comfortable being uncomfortable.” I now have a completely different perspective on her words, and I have a deeper connection to that now more than ever before. Thanks for sharing your heart with me and others who read your book. You’ve got a way with words!”

“I tend to approach personal growth books written by 20-somethings with a fair amount of skepticism.

My thinking is, what could someone who’s spent less than half as much time on earth as me possibly have to teach me, much less the rest of the world?

Well, while I can begin my journey as a skeptic, I’m open-minded enough not to stay there too long should the situation warrant.

Such is the case with Thane Marcus Ringler.

Let me just say that Thane is wise beyond his years. I mean that. I was taken aback by the way this guy thinks as I read his new book.

If I’d had Thane’s level of self-awareness when I was his age, I’d probably already have served my two terms as president.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and read this book (and check out the podcast interview I did with him).”

“I absolutely loved From Here to There. Honestly, the entire theme of the book has totally propelled me forward with a new outlook and new concept of what is possible.”
